Beginners DSLR Photography Workshop

Beginners DSLR Photography Workshop

During the workshop you will learn:

  • Metering – the most important function of your camera
  • ISO – photo sensitivity explained in clear, jargon free terms
  • White balance – how to avoid unpleasant blue and yellow casts in your photography
  • Focus – an introduction to this elusive and deceptively tricky area of photography
  • Programmes – the main programmes explained from the ground up
  • Lenses – an in depth exploration, and how camera lenses can help add more creative control to your digital photography
  • f-stops – how to get the desired exposure using a combination of shutter speeds and f/stops

Our beginners DSLR photography workshop not only explains the basic
science and nature of photography, but also introduces lots of hands-on
practice sessions during which you will learn how to control and
combine all different camera functions creatively.

  • How to compose great shots
  • How to capture sport and action on your camera
  • The best way to photograph people, objects and landscapes.
  • The use of filters.

We will be going out and about during the day as this will give you the chance to shoot whilst you learn the points above

We have some equipment you may use during the day such as tripods
and filters etc., so do not worry about these if you do not already have
them.

The things you need to bring along on these workshops are, your
camera, batteries, and plenty of memory cards, a note book and pen and
suitable clothing for the day.

We will be running these workshops along a canal system which will
offer us plenty of photographic choice during the day, there will be
some walking but it will be flat and pathed in most parts.

Please call us for dates and we will do our best to fit in with yourself, as we can usually run these with short notice, or if you have a specific date please let us know

so we can book you in.
